Black Sand

Black Sand

A Poem by Smokey

We soldiers dig, we dig all day,

I am entrenched,

And from all sides, beseiged,

And when the rain falls down on me,

I'll be relieved

They draw ever closer,

A foreign Armada, closer,

The devil's eyes are on me,

And I don't think the Emperor will sleep tonight

They're here, are they here,

That Iron sky, that victory thunder,

We wait,

And curse our wretched sun,

Carved in our flesh,

Mocking our brows

I think that I'll be cowardly, or learn to be brave,

Haruka...am I digging my own grave?

Ota Dokan-

Had I not known
that I was dead
already
I would have mourned
my loss of life.
