Death waiver no. 7

Death waiver no. 7

A Poem by Z.Silas

Death waiver no. 7

i humble before no god or man
so i take my last stand
with a bible and pistol in hand
this gun really brings out
the black in my eyes
the truth in the lies
the revelation of a .45
angels fall from flight
i am the man in the dark light
a sinister sight
the damnation fight
god’s only true plight
comings for you
in the middle of the night
i put the black steel to your head
vision goes red
can’t escape
the screaming of the dead
do yourself a favor
sign this death waiver
look into my eyes
and grace your savior

So imposing, scary really, my heart was sped up by the end. It would make great oral poetry too; you prolly know that!
The reader must wonder, "Who IS this?" Intense and spare. Good work.

The pace of this is amazing - it seems to get faster, almost snowballing to the last lines.
I also love how you link a symbol of violence to almost religious truth:

This gun really brings out
The black in my eyes
The truth in the lies
The revelation of a .45

This is a fantastic piece of work. Thankyou for sharing it.

This is very intense, raw emotion.
I LOVE poetry like this.

"Vision goes red
Can't escape
The screaming of the dead
Do yourself a favor
Sign this death waiver"

Those lines were my favorite.
This is a great expression of emotion.
Thanks so much for sharing.
