True Love

True Love

A Poem by Z.Silas

true love

I’ve never been afraid a day in my life
I’m not afraid of death I invite her to lay in my bed
and fear my life
live and strive as a man
who’s heart bleeds through his eye’s
hold my hand and we’ll walk through the rain forever
take my life and we’ll walk through pain never
death how I love you
yet you won’t place your kiss upon my lips
tell me what it’s like to die
and I’ll tell you how to survive
well I can’t believe your here for me
I’ve waited my whole life for you
you’re my everything
it’s time to sleep she sings
take me into your arm I plead
I see no sorrow
I pray for no tomorrow
are you ready to feel my love
tear drops from above
taste my passion
lost in the waves of panic
our time is now
forget me not
make my heart stop
lady death i give you my will and my last breath
so now I can confess
illusion of rest
and we never lost control
the walls break and bares our naked souls
there’s no coming back
peace...
fade to black

Years ago, I remember praying for my life to end and death did not come. Interesting and clever way that you describe death as a lover and something to be desired. Sometimes life is just too painful to bare.

Excellent!!! I really love you courting the personification of death, and what a great job you did doing it!!! Absolutely fabulous! Write on!
