Earned, Untrusted

Earned, Untrusted

A Poem by Zi

Steal me away from this tedium

I don't know if I can stand it

My life is an artistic medium

They've stolen it and

I've caught them red handed

I want to live my life and

Let it paint the world around me

I want to lose the strife and

All these worries

That now have found me

They have asked but I cannot answer

Questions growing like a cancer

My art is rusted

My words all crusted

And all I know is my world

Untrusted

Let me free from this chain

I think that I have earned it

A lack of sorrow and of pain

Life

But not the way I've learned it
