next to you, next to me

next to you, next to me

A Poem by Yu Yu

Walk through the depths of hell

Pass through the stormy seas

Be in the eye of the storm.

Whatever it may be –

I’ll be right there next to you

‘Coz I know, eventually it’ll be sunny skies and smooth sailing –

If I can be next to you in clear skies,

By Jove, I can fly next to you in stormy weather

And I wouldn’t worry

I don’t doubt one nanosecond

Because it’s you –

It’s you who’s there next to me.

Oh. The repetition worked wonders. I also liked how the first "still next to you" could work as both "When next to you, I am still" and "I am next to you still".

Romantic and beautiful.

Now that, I must say, is a true statement of friendship.

I see that as a reference to the famines of the world, the tsunami's that may come, as well as the towers on 9-11.

This is a statement of true friendship.

Five Stars.
