Some friends and I spent lunch together on Woman's day. Why? To appreciate the freedom of a pub restaurant, chatting, laughing, three sipping wine, certainly behaving like let's say, ladies, Also, Yumna, we surreptitiously and respectfully raised glasses to the millions of ladies whose emotions, existence and more are shackled in your words. Your poem is a finely written tragedy. How can Earth be called civilised whilst the past traps the now in such a terrible way?.
Dear Yumna. This piece is so powerful. It wasn’t until I read your fourth stanza that my heart dropped. The role of a wife in some parts of the world is subservient. To be treated as a piece of flesh to satisfy appetites would be such a disappointment. I thank my lucky stars.
Women are really the ones who support men, and are stronger when it comes right down to it.
They have so many roles, while men seem to be one-directional.
powerful piece.
