Logistics of Love

Logistics of Love

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Experimental.

"
The outlines of the sky curled into a smile,
the wind strummed along with the February sun.

Couples drew nearer to each other,
while love was busy adding up logistics
and dividing equations which made no sense...

equal halves, better halves, soul mates and
(in)significant others, all mashed together in one;

wiping off sweat from its brows,
love smirked.

The cynicism in this has jagged edges, nay steel jaws I'd say. The opening stanza sets a calm scene as you draw the reader in to the character assassination of love itself!

I love your perspective here, showing love busy at work to make relationships function.

Seems love needs an abacus so as to count its blessings. You write with a mind full of logic and eyes that see further than, ' .. equations which made no sense .. '

Thank you so much for reading. :)
there are many things that depict, describe, assimilate love...
equations aren't one of them...love is richer than that...it is not science or math...
and i love the last two lines...yes, "love smirked"---

Thank you so much for appreciating, Jacob. Glad you like it. :-)
Maybe love knows that summer is a better bet for those attempting a seat in the tunnel of love. :)
