Elaboration (?)

Ramblings of a raging mind. Maybe a bit cryptic but oh well. ;P

When appearing dense becomes

the fashion status, and highlighting

on certain aspects just seem 

to lose its light,

elaboration becomes just another 

phenomenon,  yet another phrase,

another courtesy which I no longer

feel to follow through.

And when words have lost 

their desired effect after

what seems like a lifetime

of deceitful lies being unveiled,

a giggle escapes unintentionally

silent, as I ponder over the 

comical turn of events.

Perhaps you've reached a point of positive acceptance, Yumna. You are what and who you are, no need for elaboration or the contrary - however you see it. You be how you feel: minimise or magnify. with or without a smile or tear. Just be. Think that's how i see this somewhat cryptic flow. Could be wrong, often am! .

I'm not sure how this manifests for you, but your poem reminds me of that point in my life when I stopped feeling like I had to express everything that crossed my mind. And as I've grown older, I've felt the need to express less & less. Some people just like to keep up a running commentary & maybe that's why I've always lived with dogs! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie

That's how I think too. It's always better to analyze over who one needs to fill in with the details. ..

I just love your opening lines... the idea that playing young or dumb should be fashionable turns my stomach, quite frankly. Wear the brain you were born with, and wear it proudly, I say!!!

aint nuttin' like a good sense of humor Doc!! great tid bits and musings to munch on this morning ... love those opening lines ...makes me think of all those false pouty lips and supposed cutesy poses so ignorantly displayed ... the failure of our tweets, twerks and twitters so obvious to those who do enjoy conversations ... V3 Ls 3&4 are a bit of a turn that makes me pause to consider ... it brings more layers to the table ;) ... could be poets with muse struggles ... but i like to believe poetry demands honest presentation .. could be political ... sure fits these days ... your closing turns me in another direction again ... wondering at the wisdom your speaker is hiding ... what events are pondered hmmmmmmmm your poem has got me looking my friend ...that's a good thing says i!
