Save Me A Spot In Your Heart

Save Me A Spot In Your Heart

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Evening scribbles.

"

Save me a spot in your heart,
for I will rest there

and still find my way
through each of your
tiny gaps and tiny cracks.

Save me a spot in your heart,
and I will leak through

your very essence,
like you ebb and
flow through mine;

a constant reminder,
that I am no longer
just me...

Save me a spot in your heart;
my heart ~ is tire...

Very creative, Lady Yumna,
The way you've ended with your heart tired and fading away, blending into the soothing comfort of your lover's is sheer genius … you're tops!
As you know, I not only write in structured rhyming poetry, I've many Free Verse pieces posted, as-well, and I thoroughly enjoy a well-written version of this form … yours here is definitely an exemplary example.
Presentation, emotion, metaphor, spot-on syntax and line-breaks, choice of picture, font, and greyed hue set the perfect moment and nuance of romantically poignant passion and fervor that leads from lovers' attractions to their melding into one entity … beautiful!
Love the perfect accompanying music choice, too!

Love has captured You, and through your excellent poetry, Us … thank you! ⁓ Richard 🌼

Your words remind me of both the intimacy of a heart and the vastness of it... the spaces in us that are worlds of life and lives. The line that sings as a sacred echo, save me a spot in your heart, seems so full of longing, of desire to not fade into that oblivion that is our forgetting. Some things never leave us... and some things are simply too painful not to let go...
