Relying On My Emojis ...

A rambling dedication for Sarah_Allen_Poe.

Sometimes, incredulous at

the way things take turns

at baffling us, and we're caught

by surprise, as life, which

grimaced mischievously before,

miraculously rearranges its

features; a kind hand, though

virtual, extends through the

boundaries of invisible channels,

almost touching...

and there, in those moments,

I struggle to find the right words,

relying instead on my emojis

to convey the rest...

I love the dynamic words of amazement you open with, very convincing. I also love the middle stanza showing how life can be baffling, suggesting the impossibility of finding a response. I love your title & closing sentiments, but I also have to say I'm a hold-out when it comes to cellphones & emojis -- never used either! As someone who's too much of an introvert, I do often struggle with words. Emojis are kind of a life saver for me haha

Its amazing how much you can convey with just Emoji's. Although sometimes I do get into trouble with them as well..lol. Great comment on the modern society that we live in. Loved it!!!

Sometimes our words can be misconstrued. We may not get the right tone across. The use of an emoji, I think can be quite helpful. I don't use them often, but a smiley face can work wonders on occasions. There are so many of them. I think they are fun. Enjoyed your poem Dr Y. Quite unique.
