Dreaming Realities

Dreaming Realities

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Double Etheree. Inspired by Mallika Relives' double reverse etheree 'Transformation'.

"

Her
world now
revolves 'round
a bundle of
joy which she holds in
her arms, oblivious
to the difference it makes;
his tiny hand wraps around her
finger as he yawns and falls into
a deep slumber... her worries seem to fade.
One little hand, enclosed in another
much larger hand; the toddler's eyes then
twinkled wide as her laugh tickled
the billowy clouds passing
by. The raindrops fell on
the princess's cheeks...
'twas then she woke
up from this
dream and
sighed.

What an amazing tribute and form poem. When the form of the poem makes it that much stronger You can be assured you hit the nail on the head, and you did that here. The tone and subject matter are as sweet and endearing as it gets and the emotions are really fleshed out well. Exceptional piece!!!

This is amazing on so many levels. It's one of my all-time favorites of yours. First, great use of the form. Second, your descriptions of touch & holding are so intensely palpable! Last but not least, your message brought back so many memories of when I was in my 20's & all my people were having babies & I just disappeared for them. They no longer wanted to go do the stuff we always did together. Since I was not into having kids myself, our lives broke apart over this. But you describe so beautifully & with such understanding, how it is when you're totally mesmerized by your own child (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

wonderful poem dedicated to your sister...love the shape of it...the perfect symmetry responding to the birth of those we will hold and treasure in our hands and in our hearts.
