The bell of my school memories have been rung again by this limerick!
But still I feel I'll be wrapping up my homework tomorrow...cause some are never gonna finished....I like this girl's glittery eyes here...and the way she has tucked her lips then screamed out...tomorrow!😄
Thanks for sharing this Yumna :)

What a day for a daydream ..oops there I go. I'm guilty. Very nice little limerick and I very much appreciated your posted image. Thank you Dr Y. All good wishes to you.

I still find it hard to equate your limericks with the intense poetry of a lifetime away, SP! Methinks your sense of humour is absorbing Autumnal colours and your words becoming just a little adventurous. Wondering about the metre count in this limerick.. but love the grin it's brought me. Must go, visitors drawing up as I put full stop! Hugs.

But I do like to explore if I have a humorous side, which is where limericks like these come from :P Ah re the meter count, I'm glad you pointed that out. I've been tinkering with it a bit and might as well change it to a proper one, wasn't sure at first. So glad it brought a grin to your face, Em. Thank you so much for liking and reading x

Glad to see you dipping your pen back into the limerick bottle again! *wink! wink!* To me, line 2 seems to have a bit of an awkward sound, as far as the English construction of it. It seems like it needs the word "more" (tired than busy). For example: "who was oft more tired than busy" . . . or some other possible tweak. To me this sounds like a "dog ate my homework" excuse, except nowadays I guess kids are more into using their neuroses as excuses (we didn't know about neuroses, back when I had homework, so we had to blame the dog) *smile* Fondly, Margie
Ah yes, I've been thinking of tweaking that line and I do like your suggestion.

hah that dog excuse was around my days too, although frankly, I quite liked doing homework, in fact was the kind to stay late in school to finish mine so I could play at home :P
Thank you so much for reading through my limericks, BG. Always appreciated :))
