Word Cage (Limerick)

Is there such a thing as a serious limerick? This might be one.

 

There once lived a man in sydney called Jay,
who scribbled poetry from June till May.
He designed a pretty stage,
to trap birds in his word cage,
'til one drowned his poems and made him pay!

Kinda funny though. In a dark humor sort of way. Considering I once wrote a similarly dark/serious humorous limerick for school and got an A on it, I'm pretty sure its alright XD besides, everything is a remix these days anyway. All that matters is the structure (awesome) and the message (received) anyway, so you did well either way! :D

It's dark alright, I didn't want to write on this subject in a really serious note and limericks are my recent obsession so ... ;)
