Fore'er Laid ~ In Everlasting InkA Chapter by Dr. YumnaKaySestets in 9-syllable count with rhyme-scheme ababab, cdcdcd, etc.Fore'er Laid ~ In Everlasting Ink A sole-lit window, whilst all else slept ... where dreams softly in harmony played. As arms entwined, lovers' mist soon swept; still caught unawares, afar we swayed. And, between steady hands, hopes were kept; a quiet, lone hymn my heart then prayed. When sunlit rays rippled 'cross my face, and songbirds danced to our sheer delight, I’d known not before of such a place, where stood facing us, joy in plain sight … two hearts beat as one, never displaced; thus, in this way, two lovers unite. Our love so divine we throbbed in tune, fate nearly sighed when pulses rose high. As mountains echoed from dusk till noon, a shimmering globe ripped pon the sky; softly I rest in his sweet cocoon … soothingly content, our night flew by. While traces of rain fell, sun-faded 'Tween passions' river 'n oceans' shores, we, in naked splendour, shared our drink. In frenzied delight, my heart still soars, as, entranced, Nature forgot to blink. Heaven's bound like dust to ashen floor, fore'er laid ~ in everlasting ink. © 2018 Dr. YumnaKayAuthor's Note
