Thank you so much for appreciating, Phill. Glad you like it :)
Your poem brings up several pertinent points about life & connections & attention spans. The one that stands out for me is how hard it is to be fully plugged in to other people's lives & how easy it is to drift off into neverland until the connection seems to be lost. Some people work hard to maintain these connections, but most people are willing to let them go, in my experience. I love how your pondering provokes lots of things to think about, with regard to living! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I'm glad my words here made you think. Thank you so much for appreciating, BG. Hugs back :)
Nine times out of ten, I think yes, forever's are illusions we create.... but since our motivations change, so of course do the illusions we variously perceive.... I really enjoyed my visit here and your delightful 'Debris of My Thoughts' ............... Neville

Aloha Yumna, I apologize it has been a very long time since I last read your words. Beautifully laid - very thoughtful. There is a pondering and sincerity in your words that I love, at its core this offering it is quietly confronting - challenging ‘us’ to be brave, to examine ‘a’ truth. Your closing words are profound a resignation of sorts - my personal thoughts are that we must always be in a state of ‘understanding’ & ‘learning’ accepting what the other brings and in turn what they may need as well. Mahalo.

Deeply moving poem. About life, living and not living fully. But, hiding behind a fake show and pretending you are really living. When you are not. Interesting take on life in general. And how we all pretend at times. Everything in our lives is great. When actually it is not.

Thank you so much for your thoughts here, Dee. I appreciate it (:
Wonderful opening couplet, the second line in particular really stood out for me, as does your final line, "and forevers are illusions we create". Your poem a delight to read. Thank you.

' .. I lie in layers and layers of the debris of my thoughts. '
You always find a subtle way of saying so much.. seems you actually do and have isolated each thought of the US (the two of you) and tried to reason an outcome. Nothing or very little remains the same, perhaps one demands or needs too much. Who knows. We all have our strengths and frailties. Your writing rarely waivers from the logical - even if the topic comes neath the heading 'emotional'.
