A memory ~ forgotten

A memory ~ forgotten

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Experimenting with wordplay (still).

"
hidden in the blinds of your eyes,
a memory unflinchingly forgotten,
erased, mercilessly timed
but I'm nowhere near

among the pretty, glazed faces,
frosted over time, the sighs
exhaled, perfumed blue
but I'm nowhere near

empty lies,
shallow thoughts, submerged in a waterfall
of emotions, shattered tomorrows
and I'm nowhere near - to be found.

What's a (wo)man to do,

I yearn
for peaceful oblivion.

Sometimes a blessing: disappearing into self, perhaps; nothing or nobody to answer for, set-aside space needed to forget flaws and failure. Or, there's the opposite perhaps, feeling wxcluded from what is truly missing, is needed. It's too to easy to be lost in and to life, feeling invisible.. and the like.

hmmmmmmm complex says i! ;) V1 speaks to me with impact ...especially L1&2 ... i have never thought of the lost love having memories of me ... mostly just wonder it they do ... but to put yourself into that place and know that memories of you are unflinchingly forgotten and erased is brilliant ... the heartbreak to know that "I'm nowhere near" ...can also be freeing ...
but heart sickness can be a poison no doctor can help ... and there is hard tension in that attempt to plunge one's self into oblivion .... i sure got into your poem Doc! so well done from my standpoint!

yes, i have felt the want for this...peaceful oblivion...
being with and the memory of...hard to escape , maybe forgetfulness...senility might just do the trick...
i find myself often relating to your words...

Somehow, it's the only thing I really feel would be enough (for me). ..

Excellent imagery. For some reason, the "pretty, glazed faces" stanza reminded me of antique porcelain china. Each reader's unique perception of a piece is quite amazing. Good work!
