"Enclosing an oyster of hopes"...great expression leading into the heart of the poem. I liked the "tango of emotions" as well. When I got to your last line, I misread the word "paranoia" for "piranha". It must be my muse saying its time for a cup of coffee! ; )

Thank you so much for your appreciation of this piece, Kelly. I hope you enjoyed the coffee ;) :)
This pretty much sums up how life can leave us feeling like we've just jumped into a roiling surf & the waves are batting us about into unexpected positions. I love how you convey the sensations of being tossed around by life (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thanks so much for appreciating and your words, BG.

Thank you so much for your appreciation, CD. I'm humbled.
What it is to be so bemused that writing poetry seems to come so effortlessly, Yumna!!! For me the two stanzas are mirrorerd refkections , each having that little less or more than before. Unsteady strides.. life sweepts me away.. have to think on that.. so, will return. Perhaps?

I love the words "enclosing an oyster of hopes". I heard them words elsewhere. I liked the gentleness of your thoughts. Made the reader think with you. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry.
