At first glance, it comes off as one who sleeps in their bed and wakes up to a new day with new possibilities and that's fine. But, being you are a doctor, what if that slumber was of one awakening from a coma?
I've wondered a few times about what type of reaction one would have in that situation. Would they feel blessed for having awakened? Or would they regret the time that has been lost?
Perhaps you would know better than I, but I've heard that coma victims hear people talking to them despite their inability to respond? That must be agonizing to go through.
I would imagine one could have nightmares over it. "Okay, folks, it's been long enough, let's do it. let's pull the plug." Scary.
Sorry for turning a simple two-line poem into something perhaps unrelated. It just made me think. :)

Tbh, when I wrote this, I had in mind what you interpreted first. .. Oddly, even though I'm from the medical field, my writes almost never reflect anything remotely from that side (perhaps because I keep both of my sides separate ;) ) but it's def worth thinking over what you said here.
I haven't come by any coma patients, being that I'm a dentist and we don't really have to face emergencies except for the tooth pain ones... but I've heard and read about that too re comatose patients. Def creepy!
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts here, Tim. Made my wired brain of late think too! ;p :)
haha, I didn't realize you were dentist but, you're welcome. And my teeth seem are doing fine. :)

Oh, so do I. But when the pain is unbearable, a dentist is a God. haha I worship you my friend. :)
May this winter place of you yield itself to the spring that is coming for your soul, dear poet. Life, how it sleeps in night places, and awakens in these sunlight sighs.

This poem hits hard. Sleep in one place where many of us can escape the everyday stress and troubles of life. Very poignant and straight to the point. Well done, Yumna.
