Rain has never fascinated ~ me

Rain has never fascinated ~ me

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Just writing off my thoughts.

Rain has never fascinated ~ me

Soft, gentle outpour of rain, while to most is like music; a soothing sound... but to me: heavy thuds that interrupt my train of thoughts.

And I always compare the sky to an attention seeking child; crying...

Rain has never fascinated ~ me

Perhaps this is another view of something I was told when very little, about thunder, which scared me. 'Thunder is due to naughty angels slamming Heaven's gates' - said with a grin, a cuddle and a mini wink.

Weather is what it is, can suit one person, not another; can help harvests, can kill them; can flood cities, can create oases - it is what it is.

Whilst who knows whether or not you mean those words for writing's sake, you've created a poem that gives shadow and ligh; created views both interesting and intriguing. Is a dripping tap torture to you, I wonder?

Lol yeah :P
thank you for reading. :)
I've always loved the rain (except when I'm driving in it). But I do recognize there are people that are sensitive to noise. I know I am, but rain never bothered me. It's nice to see a different view on rain.:)

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Relic. I appreciate it 😊
And a lovely chastening thought it is. We always characterise our weather don't we? Some more than others. And you are right, it does interupt thoughts. Sometimes in a good way; the patter of rain on a roof. Sometimes in a bad way; the incessant crashes of thunder during an electrical storm. Although at times I find that exciting.

I think You are a girl full of life, that's why the rain might be getting in Your way out to... life, at the same time Your are kind at heart and gentle, that maybe this rain reminds You with something You don't like, something sad... anyway, thank You for trusting in Your own self, and the courage to show Your self as whom You trully are to all of us🌟

Wow! This is so interesting! I haven't read anything that talks about rain in this context! It really makes me think that maybe some people do think of rain on a tin roof as an annoying distraction opposed to something calming and beautiful.
