That fear of losing you, kept me from breathing freely...
You didn't let me. Even though I asked to let me soothe your aching heart. You pushed me right out, as I watched those dreams fall off my hands... disappearing into a never ending mist of oblivion
Mmmm this speaks to my soul yumna....feel like you wrote it only for me .... :)
I love how deeply you get into the subject... and love reading your work...keep sharing your wonderful work ..
like waking up with fists clenched---trying to hold on to something that was---but now---the dreams have loosened the grip---clenched hands cannot recover.

Your very much welcome.
I can see that haha.
Keep writing :)
Lost love is often the stuff of poetry and here you capture the sense of loss very powerfully. 'I watched those dreams/ fall off my hands' - poignant words.

It is indeed.. Thank you for appreciating, Jibey. I'm glad it touched you :)
Beautiful string of thoughts that you drew between both the ends of the poem. And I see that you did not stick to a single emotion across the poem. It is indeed a versatile piece. One small correction I think is...No need of the word time after twilight. Twilight itself is a time of the day. Very well done.

Thank you so much for the appreciation, Queen! Your words mean a lot to me 😊
You use your experience to create the most stunning romances.
This is poignant and filled with a sense of ultimate loss. Wonderful is perhaps not the right word for such a sad piece but I hope you know what I mean.

Thank you so much, Ken! I truly appreciate your words 😊
How your words felt like a path, at once worn down, and yet at times wild in the meadow. And how the path seemed to end in an empty, barren place where even in the looking back, one got lost in the longing. So beautifully bittersweet.

Yes, it's too true. And somehow it lingers on in those distant dreams.

I can feel this writing coursing through me, for it seems I keep taking the position of the person who shuts others out. This is interesting for me to be able to see this contrasting perspective and affect I may have.
Thank you for the read YumnaKay.
