I let my warm imagination spring, "Oh my, how your caress sets me aglow!" Let's listen to what unsung songs will bring; then, as you wash me with your words, I'll know.
I let you take me in your warm embrace, with all your love upon me please bestow! I wonder why I gift you my sweet grace? Then, as you wash me with your words, I'll know.
I let myself to you be swept away, my eyes filled by the wonderment you show! Around 'n round within your arms, I sway; then, as you wash me with your words, I'll know.
I let you reach the depths of my cold heart, whence you turn hardened glaciers to soft snow. And, now no one can e’er pull us apart! Then, as you wash me with your words, "I'll know!"
It is a most enthralling composition, Yumna! : )
With beautiful picture, apt font and color, creative word selections, romantic ambiance, spot-on rhymes, and a flow smooth as warm honey, your lovely mind, heart, and soul have shared a masterpiece of true poetic excellence to make one's imagination virtually melt.
Every verse sings, and your refrain, "Then, as you wash me with your words, I'll know" tied it all together in an embracing bow of romantic promise.
What a pleasure it has been to work with you in learning and writing this excellent piece, Yumna … thank you ever-so warmly and gratefully for your trust in me, and the honor of teaching you your first Kyrielle … you are an amazing poetess! ⁓ Richard ✨

Thank you for the extremely kind words of appreciation. It was an amazing experience to learn from you the true art of poetry. I hope for more to come 😊
Richard def seeped through your words ;) Very well written, I love it. The topic, the choice of words; soft and loving. A poem that shines light and positivity on the reader. Wash me with your words - the way it should be. A great concept.
Thank you, Vanessa! Richard really did show me how to do this properly 😊

You're welcome. It is lovely. 😊
Nice pic again btw.
I enjoyed this poem a lot more than I originally thought I would. :)
It's beautiful in the almost archaic-sounding format you've done. You chose some good words strewn throughout this poem, making it sound lovelier than more "conventional" styles.
Sorry for my absence, I was without power for several days. Winds of 70-80 miles per hour.
Good job, Yumna! ;)

I did notice your absence lol btw did the wind blow you away? JK 😂😂😂
Thr form provides a fitting structure for the sensual pleasure of this writing, giving it some muscle and helping to avoid sentimentality. I enjoyed the repetition and the feeling of being overwhelmed by the experience.

It is wonderful, "Wash me with Words" is amazing. I don't know this form but yet I loved the way of expressing the feelings and with contemporary rhyming.
Beautiful!!!:)

it's a nice form...i hardly noticed except for the subtle rhyme...and i like it when form doesn't overcome me and the feeling of the piece is what shines through..it does here.
very romantic vibes...i like the old poetry feel to this.
