I let my warm imagination spring, "Oh my, how your caress sets me aglow!" Let's listen to what unsung songs will bring; then, as you wash me with your words, I'll know.
I let you take me in your warm embrace, with all your love upon me please bestow! I wonder why I gift you my sweet grace? Then, as you wash me with your words, I'll know.
I let myself to you be swept away, my eyes filled by the wonderment you show! Around 'n round within your arms, I sway; then, as you wash me with your words, I'll know.
I let you reach the depths of my cold heart, whence you turn hardened glaciers to soft snow. And, now no one can e’er pull us apart! Then, as you wash me with your words, "I'll know!"
It is a most enthralling composition, Yumna! : )
With beautiful picture, apt font and color, creative word selections, romantic ambiance, spot-on rhymes, and a flow smooth as warm honey, your lovely mind, heart, and soul have shared a masterpiece of true poetic excellence to make one's imagination virtually melt.
Every verse sings, and your refrain, "Then, as you wash me with your words, I'll know" tied it all together in an embracing bow of romantic promise.
What a pleasure it has been to work with you in learning and writing this excellent piece, Yumna … thank you ever-so warmly and gratefully for your trust in me, and the honor of teaching you your first Kyrielle … you are an amazing poetess! ⁓ Richard ✨

Thank you for the extremely kind words of appreciation. It was an amazing experience to learn from you the true art of poetry. I hope for more to come 😊
I love the soul of your poetry, and the form flows so fluidly in your thoughts. There is nothing forced, only the warmth of your love's gift coming to life. The rhythm and rhyme move like music in you, dear Yumna. Wondrous! 😊

I grew up reading Dr. Seuss so everything in my head rhymes, which made this extra special. 😊
It's hard to come across good rhymed poetry and harder still to come by some without cynicism. The repetitions really lend the poem an ethereal effect and the image really completes the picture of a perfect holiday or honeymoon. There's a hearty dose of self doubt, expressed in the line "I let you reach the depths of my cold heart" but the lines following that redeem the poet completely. Very well written.

Beautiful in content and pure Kyrielle form. Richard is a fine teacher and you, dear you, are a more than gifted student. Each of your stanzas contentedly strokes my heart!

Your appreciation means a lot 😊😊
What a quaint and lilting verse! I could imagine the meter sway languidly with magical caress of your well-chosen words in a beautiful poem of love and succour.
Great writing Yumna!
