Invisible To You

Invisible To You

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

A sequel to "Shield"

"

Invisible to you
Standing there in front of you
Yet your eyes see right
through me.
Blurred, broken images form
In my eyes
From the night when you said,
"It's all over,
there is no 'us',
just 'you' and 'me', going our separate ways"

And I accept it. This numbing, yet ever present pain which resides in me like a malignant disease,
to which there is no cure.

And I accept it. This fate, a gift by you, the last thing that I'll have,
that although I never moved from your sight
yet I'm
Invisible to you...

It's a sad thing when this happens to us, and can be very tough to deal with. But it is also better to have loved than never to have loved at all. (It means nothing at the time but as time goes by, we heal and start to reflect on things differently)

These moments happen to many of us. Yes...it breaks us down, but also it makes us stronger.

Some perfect choice of words in this piece. Well done....

Mark.

Ah! one of the most common feelings of being lost and caped-camouflaged under the shadow of temporal misery.

Causes:
selflessness
love
excessive empathy

Symptoms:
Pain
sadness
(and utterly pure yet connivingly vivid art) Rare and Expensive

Control:
admire the reflection in the dimmest of lights
With time...

Heartbreak is common, but your poem was oddly heartwarming and satisfying. Your words made me smile.

That's a deep one. Well-written, one of my favs by you, I think. I also really like the picture you chose for this piece, the missing head like a missing identity, a form of invisibility.
Sad topic though, sad because I can relate to the feeling...

Boy, haven't we all had this moment or moments in our loves history. I say it's worth the pain to love and lose than to never have loved at all. (I think someone else said that also) Yon convey the dread emotionn well.

I feel sad to hear that you can relate to this.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it 😊
This follow on from ‘Shield’ continues the theme of broken dreams, but in a more poignant poetical examination of a hurtful personal experience. Your write expresses a view from the perspective of the injured party. Whereas, the source of this wounded heart remains oblivios to the pain that is felt. Well done …
