Martyred Souls

Martyred Souls

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

In Memory Of Lal Qalandar Shrine Blast.

"
The martyred lay,
waiting to be buried
only to find,
fragments of their body
down by the drain.

88 lives blown apart
By a single blast.
88 homes,
Alive yet dead

Oh, mankind!
How many more
will we have to endure?
Before the world
finds the true meaning
Of peace....

Author's Note

Dr. YumnaKay
This was written in memory of the lives lost in the recent bomb blast in the famous Lal Qalandar Shrine, Sehwan, Hyderabad.
I didn't write it as a writer so, I don't expect this to be correct in terms of structure.
Just sharing how I feel about the whole situation which is actually gruesome.

So many people being murdered. I don't understand. New world had gone mad. Killing innocence for the sake of reason and belief. I pray for better days. In my lifetime. I had to take care of people killed by hate. Brake your heart when you see children murdered. Thank you my friend for sharing the powerful words and thoughts.

True. Wonder when we'd really find it..
Hate has infested the hearts and minds of so many, and the innocent suffer as the haters dance. These victims need to be remembered and honored, and it is the poets, musicians and artists who will rise to the occasion. So much hate in this world- but I will continue to believe that it is not the will of most people.

YumnaKay,
Your words speak of the total irrational waste of life. So many broken lives and hearts. We must never forget or turn our backs on these human tragedies. Thank you for your brave words.

You painted the folly of such acts in real human terms in a dignified non-sensationalist way Yumna.
They are indeed martyrs for their faith.

My eyes fill with tears through your words, your soul's longing for peace. These lives, these precious ones, lost in this horror. It grieves me that life is filled with so much pain inflicted at the hand of humanity. Yes, please, may we find the path to peace. And soon, before all is lost.

I pray for that moment to come soon. Thank you for adding in your thoughts here.
Wars and blasts are becoming common these days.
This is merely the result of depleting humanity.
Good to know that you're a dentist!

I can feel your emotions, YumnaKay. I can really feel this write. I too wonder how long innocent people have to face these terrorist attacks and blasts. I read about this news recently and felt really bad for the people who died and for their family and relatives.
I agree that the world needs to find the true meaning of peace and harmony.
