Goodbye

You feel strong one day, only to find you're too weak to be strong the other day....

Goodbye - 

A two syllable word and how harmless it seems when said on a daily basis. 

Goodbye - 

Feel the contrast of it when being said to you, rather than being said by you.  

Goodbye, my friend, we've hung along for too long.

A well-written juxtaposition on how different a "Goodbye" can be in certain situations. This poem is a bit too "Experimental" but is good all the same. The significance of this poem is not lost on me.

I didn't try to write it as a poem.. Just went along with what came up my mind..
And now reading this is like it was a premonition because I really had to face a goodbye from someone I thought was a friend...

With copious amounts of cheese I might be tempted to say there is no 'good' in goodbye then I might apply for a spot in the oldest boy band going.
But, I concur with this viewpoint.
The phrase itself is a double-edged sword - in retrospect I think the wielder of the sword gets hurt too though.

Sadly, I feel the same way about goodbyes. Good expressive poem.
It's not always the long poems that mean the most. Sometimes, it's the shorter ones that have the biggest impaction upon one's life.
