"And then you realize
What's missing?
It's peace,
Calm and comfort."
I believe we learn real wisdom. When we learn. Can't make everyone happy and we must find something to do. We enjoy. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry.

Beautifully written, dear friend! I relate to everything! Everything's stressing us out, these days. Having peace, calm and comfort feels like luxury.

Thank you for your thoughts and appreciation, Gullia! Means a lot 😊
I think with the pace of life now.
When we get to much time, we begin to panic because we don't know what to do with it.

There are a lot of wonderful thoughts here, written in a clear conversational tone, it has an underlying melancholy and longing which are effective. I would have but two minor suggestions -- to perhaps change emits for flows -- and I think you meant, "What's missing is peace" Unless you meant "What's missing?" "It's peace." A subtle difference that would polish this poem up very nicely. PS if you are offended by positive suggestions I will bow out gracefully -- as I always leave helpful hints to writers whose work I believe is worthy of the help.
Nah I purely appreciate criticism. Anything to help me get better as I'm new to this.

And you are right about the 'what's missing?' I'll correct it thank you ☺
Don't you think if I changed 'emit' with 'flows', there will be a repitition of the same word? As in I've written 'flowing' in the next line...
Thank you for the kind words and for liking ☺

yes, I have been here too...sometimes I still find myself in this place. Even after leaving a toxic marriage...moving on...finding a measure of happiness...with my children and grandchildren around me...a good job...food and roof over my head...all the things I need to be happy...sometimes I feel a deep, soul-burning emptiness inside, and I don't know why. I think our souls cry out for something we don't always understand...something we seldom acknowledge. And while we can ignore it most of the time, there are moments it sifts to the surface and speaks to us...and then the tears come, as we mourn that which we cannot name, or understand. Beautiful poem, Yumna.

Hi, thank you for your review on Soul Collision. I've read several of your writings, they all speak to me, they speak to who I used to be, but this one, this one in particular hit home. I enjoyed reading your thoughts, and reading into your soul throughout all I read. I would just like to tell you that you are LOVED. I too could find no peace, no calm for many years of my life, many more then I care to count. Take this for what it's worth, but I did not find my peace until I sought God. So I feel your pain and it hurts me to the core. Seek him hun, I promise he will bring you peace.
