only those will suffer in love, who takes it through their soul, place someone at the peak of their life and sacrifice and feel silently and unconditionally.otherwise player will always plan and throw a meaningful smile that haunts you rest of your life for your true dedication.

A really wise observation, mou!
Thank you, I truly appreciate your take on this piece ☺
I say it is a game we play. Great poem, I honestly still don't know what love is. Think love is something society and media just showed for us to model. I believe It does not exist, unfortunately.

This reminds me of the last poem I read from you; "Regrets." Self esteem is an important thing to have for a healthy relationship. Otherwise, the person may feel that they cannot do better even when their partner is hurting them. Infidelity is a prime example in this piece; it is the ultimate betrayal. I agree that love can be a vicious game; a game no one can ever win. I believe love is often confused with lust so we date a plethora of people. This is similar to trying on clothes. Some are put back while others are purchased. However, it becomes obnoxious when we buy a piece of clothing that doesn't fit but we wanted it to. Hopefully, this analogy made sense.

Wasn't it Tennyson who said, ' better to have loved and lost, than never loved at all? '
A philosophical poetic prose, penned with a yearning, open mind !

A wonderful write, I must admit though I am torn by the message to some degree. Words are the poet's sword and when you use a word such as love you must consider the meaning as well as the message. "Love"...too easy a word to get wrong I believe. Actual love, real love is the hardest and most rewarding experience we will ever give. It is a force that burns unconditional. It is something that cannot or will not be controlled but rather, It is something that redeems and saves... and when all but all seems lost, it turns to offer what we dare to believe " We are loved". I am enamored by the quality and duality in your verse but I want to use something other than love as the game. Perhaps obsession or lust ..at least these are the things that have shelf-life and ephemeral nature. Real love is never a fickle thing. Either way you made me think...so well done and thanks for sharing.

For those of us who have been beaten by it regard "love" as the thing that plays.. Whatever name you give it... Lust or obsession is done under the name of love.. Regardless of this fact, you have a valid point... I personally think love is in its most beautiful form when between friends or between a child and mother..
Thanks for the in-depth review ☺
Our insatiable thirsts.... Some of us ruin the concept of love. Although, many believe there isn't much of a concept to be ruined. & the rest are potential causalities. This one is great. It is relative. It is current. This is a bold, true write. Love the tags as well.
