I Fear--

I Fear--

A Poem by Becca

I fear I’m lost inside my eldritch dreams--

I slip, slowly, from the shore of actuality into a wispy abyss

As mental deception and distortion reform the concrete.

I fear I’m falling farther, with increasing speed, as, recently,

I’ve seen false creations from mental fabrications, too true, too often to dismiss--

I fear I’m lost inside my eldritch dreams.

And my ‘waking hours’ are increasingly difficult to distinguish, it seems

I can no longer, for certain, determine honest existence,

As mental deception and distortion reform the concrete.

And thus, I find I’m drowning in a realm of streams

Of liquid concepts, irresolute ideas"a depth of awry and amiss--

I fear I’m lost inside my eldritch dreams.

And every day, these hallucinations and concepts become more extreme,

Forming viciously violent forms to feed my paranoid conscious,

As mental deception and distortion reform the concrete.

I fear I’m losing 'my' thoughts to these startling scenes;

The thirst to beat silver echoes, to close these curtains, is harder to resist--

I fear I’m lost inside my eldritch dreams,

As mental deception and distortion reform the concrete.
