I Regret.

I Regret.

A Poem by Becca

He was a comely cacophony;

A melancholy mix of--inhuman--atrocities

That was,

Nonetheless,

Charming.

In truth, I hated him and his ever constant

Emotional need a pesky poltergeist

Blowing up

My f*****g phone

And yet

I found I loved him, for the lunar light he somehow

Shone into my soul, not of deliberate intent, no

But rather,

Of a liberating

Familiarity.

And I feared him for the innocent intimacy"threatening,

For such was the guillotine of human existence

Waiting to

Bare down on

My neck

(If I got

To close).

And so,

I left.
