Forgery?

Forgery?

A Poem by Yume

Dismayed! Dismayed! Dismayed!
O what tragedy! What farce!
Bread, cloth and land, all betrayed!
All betrayed! Truth: all dreams are false.
A prophet but not a shepherd,
Fate is the irony of a kind God.
For when the son was given up
For sacrifice, the tension He did
Soon release, by offering instead a ram.
The son was saved! Was saved! Hurray!
What poetics tears did the child then shed?
Ah! Another masterpiece of His. Nay?
