The New Dance

The New Dance

A Poem by Yuki Sukinomoto
"

Basically a fall from grace.

"

The air on which I dance

Has given way

As a butterfly swoops around

My hair that's formed by wind's chance

Laughing, laughing as I fall down towards gaea.

What a pitiful moment for one such as I

That once danced amongst the clouds

And beside the sun, my friend.

But my smile stays in place

For this can only be another sort of adventure.

A very pretty poem. I love lines seven and eight the most, and that idea of a deep relations with the splendid firmament. A very good job.
