The Ballerina

The Ballerina

A Poem by Thalassa

A ballerina was she,
For her grace hypnotized everyone

With every pirouette,
She was met with enchantment
And praise, for she was like no other

But under all the poise and beauty,
Were the dry blood and calloused feet she hid

After every performance, her smile would disappear
As she would look down at her feet
And would see nothing but putrefaction

This is so sad but well-written. The words used were very deep and descriptive. Good job!
