the void of self

the void of self

"

as I stretch across the divide
to grasp your hand,
the reality of society
weighs upon my soul...

the repetitiveness of it,
confounding the truth
and skewing the facts
until we're blind to it all.

my fingers cannot feel
your touch against
my skin,
as I sink further into

the void of myself
.

"my fingers cannot feel
your touch against
my skin,
as I sink further into

the void of myself."

...a magnificent poem...
