thrice

thrice

A Poem by shiloh jennings
"

"

awaiting the moment of reconnection is enough to

devour all my resources and leave me

aching and needing and forever enslaved to the

manipulations of our lust.

awash in the instant when we

descend upon one another only to

achieve an event horizon that

momentarily blinds us, before

all that we know is usurped by the black hole of

destiny.  we will fall

across eternity together, never again

moving from one another's grasp.

Almost drained to non-existence by the wait, blinded to all else in that moment, and everything changed from that moment on... this is quite the powerful statement of love, a love that is eternal. The formation of that universal entity some would refer to as a soulmate - finally found, recognized - realized.

I liked the use of descriptive words you used. It gave a strong tone to the poem, which can be very important.
