Take It
A Poem by Mysty Rayn

When I least expect it, you take my breath away.
When I’m not looking, you steal one more piece of my heart.
When I’m not hiding, you reach for my soul.
When I am down, you lift my spirit.

Take it.
Take all I have to give.

I know I shouldn’t trust you, but I do.
I know I shouldn’t like you, but I do.
I know I shouldn’t feel this way, but I do.
I know I shouldn’t….

The above piece inspired the below piece by me:

Nothing else matters,
When I see your smile.
Nothing else matters,
When your touch reaches my grasp.
Nothing else matters,
Time and space fade away.
Nothing else matters,
But for you and you and you & me.

I'd give the world away, trade it in a moment
for your kiss.
I'd give my life away, trade it in a flash
to save yours.
I'd give my soul to you, boxed, bundled and bound,
if you'd take it.

Nothing else matters,
When I look into your eyes.
Nothing else matters,
When I'm next to you.
Nothing else matters,
History crashes the future to the ground.
Nothing else matters,
But for you and you and you & me.

I'd give my blood, my breath and my strength
to entwine with you.
I'd give my muse, my script, and my joy
for one moment more with you.
I'd give and I'd give and I know that you'd take
if only you'd notice me.
