rubber-room drainage

A Poem by shiloh jennings

"
loathsome fear floods in
filling
over flowing
blinding.
whats next, you say
and expect an answer,
but Nothing comes
and gives you light
rays of hope
shattered tonight.
the quest continues.

and soft it falls
upon the page
the written sin
from deep within.
none who've seen it
live to tell
the prettier parts
inside our hell.
speak or be spoken for
none are left
to guard the door.
its heaven for sale tonight
by the moon's glaring light.
be free no more
the caged animal
howels but twice.

liquify your feelings
and drip into
success
for love is but
a four-letter word
in the mind of a
robot.
