Too Late

Too Late

A Poem by Yasmin A.

He was there,
When she fell,
With scraped knees,
Bloodied elbows.

He was there,
When she cried,
With her heart broken,
Eyes puffy.

He was there,
When she graduated,
With her diploma,
Blue robes.

He was there,
When she wedded,
With her bridal gown,
White bouquet.

All this while,
He was there,
But she never noticed.
Until it was too late.

It really turns around! I thought it would be too late, as in she would be gone. But that he was gone, wow. Very good.
