Before, everyone told us,

We wouldn't make it.

They said we'd go our separate ways,

But we set out to prove them wrong.

Our age gap was going to be an obstacle.

They said we won't last long,

Our religious believes were going to break us up.

They said we won't be tolerant of each other,

But we set out to prove them wrong.

Before, everyone told us,

We weren't right for each other.

They said we didn't compliment each other,

But we set out to prove them wrong.

Right now,

I realise how right they are,

And how wrong we were.

Only now do I realise.
