Just You and IA Poem by y&rInspired from my own novel characters :)I felt your breath Tingling across my neck, Felt your touch, Threading through my back, As you felt for me. Felt your body Pressing right on mine, Snuggling for warmth; Felt your lips Gently pressing upon my forehead, Your fingers running down my hips… In my hopes, in my pleas, Stay, I say, Stay, and don’t go, Don’t go to somewhere else: You and I are all I know… I swear I felt your arms Wrapping around my waist, As you whistle the soft hums Into my ears as lullabies, Said, I’d always been here, You just never knew. Your tender words I heard, And even through my tears I believed. But tell me, when I reached out for you Didn’t I feel that emptiness so new, So vacant, so gone, So strong, and so wrong? I opened my eyes And watched the emptiness face me; What were those, deceits and lies That I didn’t want to see? And when I closed my eyes, I felt you again. Am I nuts or am I sane, Wanting to be wherever you are Dead or not, I don’t care, Just you and I. © 2012 y&rAuthor's Note
