You Talk So LoudA Poem by y&rFrom a very bitter fight with someone that had made me dysfunctional for the whole of the proceeding day.You talk so loud, Because you want to be heard. You’d smash the plates at my feet, Because you want to hurt me so I’ll hear you. But what you say, They claw my way. You send arrows through my heart, When you say words that never ran through your mind. You want me to hear you out. You say all you needed was five minutes. Five minutes, I cried with swollen eyes" So swollen that I cannot open them now" So it was all I gave you, A chance to end this fight. So five minutes and I thought you’d say Something more rational, Something less insane this time. But all I heard were your crazy excuses, Your judgments and my faults" Those faults you wronged me for. You fire rounds and rounds of bullets, With no pausing, and no stopping. Each time I get hit, I try to get up, Then another round of fire comes and shoots me down. You want to be heard, But you don’t want to hear. You don’t hear me screaming, Screaming in pain. I asked you why, Why you’re so sadistic, Why you enjoyed seeing me On my knees begging you to stop, Why you enjoyed seeing me cry in despair, Seeing me cry like an animal, cry like there’s no tomorrow" Are you happy when I do that? And you locked every door, So I couldn’t leave the house" Couldn’t leave you. Then you unlocked my bathroom’s door, And pulled me out And made me hear your wild bark again. © 2011 y&rAuthor's Note
