ice blue

ice blue

A Poem by Alliswan

perfectly round ice blue eyes
crying horrid black tears
the perfect girl is crying because she is terrifed of falling
terrified of failing to live and love again
piercing gaze, glistening with tears
too innocent to love and feel pain
but, somehow, she feels it.
pain is an ever-present shadow
lurking around the darkest corners
beautiful markings frame her lovely eyes,
reminding her of her darker past
reminding the beautiful girl of her cryptic love and dangerous desires
she loved and tragically lost, and now wishes she had never loved at all
wishes she had never cried black tears out of her ice blue eyes.
