WondersA Chapter by Sir Drift & Mr. PulseTo all who give up Hope, hold on to that thin rope just a little longer. And I say, may we never lose our wonder Whilst the ideas of man fossils And the dreams of many murdered I say, take heart Though darkness can erase all color when light seems to fade Thus color inside still shines out bright The eyes can deceive many So why not go blind? What is there to hold if not a grip of air Touch-less, taste-less, and breath-less And still the Earths lungs function perfectly fine as the swirl Reaching all 4 corners of a sphere And we fall? For weren't we born with legs? Do they fail us now, still so young and strong? While we rock the stars with our fingers, and paint the waters with our laughter We decide to give into the trash fed from fear? He is strong, we know, and has no shame to suck the bricks dry which hold our house and as we attempt to tiptoe our way around a silent whistle can set off such echo of failure So why give up hope? For minds have no limit, we have yet to reach it And Rene Descartes says it all correctly Cogito Ergo Sum, "I think, therefor I am" But many have forgotten what it is like to dream See, we dont have to be a brain in a vat Or as high up as the rotating stars All we need is for gravity to humble those Who fly wingless over all Trust me when I say; they will fall Because they have lost their wonder.
