The Bitter End II: Sweet ReturnsA Chapter by Sir Drift & Mr. PulseThis is a poem answering the poem The Bitter End by NiniDear Stone that I have left behind The Wine has fermented, I cannot lie Stars are but rocks I've placed above They land on grounds reached only by doves But as that day my stone carved soft Realizing late what you were speaking of I decide to return slowly, melting away As from stone I have been sculpted back to clay More lips planted on this stained cheek My heart I've twisted to remain meek The clay melting, rubber I became As love slipped away from my true aim It was you I knew, It was you I want And now made rubber, with lighting I have fought Though it brought no pain, out came the tear Of leaving you as stone and alone in fear Now breaking the gum I melt once more to reach you as Man once and for sure Though your heart made stone allow me to break Pressurize it to diamonds for you to keep safe I swear my love, another one I will make.
