What does it mean??

What does it mean??

A Poem by Joaliz Silva

Was does it mean to love?
Does it mean to never let go?
Does it mean to hold you tight?
Does it mean you will make things right?

What does it mean to be with you?
Does it mean that you will love me forever?
Does it mean that things will be better?
Does it mean that you will make me happy?

What does it mean to have you here?
Does it mean that you will hold me in your arms?
Does it mean that your kisses will be mine?
Does it mean that you are, indeed, the one?

What does it mean to let you go?
Does it mean that you don't love me anymore?
Does it mean that you will not be here when I need you?
Does it mean that I will have to learn to live without you?

What does it mean to cry for you?
Does it mean you will not be here to wipe away my tears?
Does it mean that my pillow will carry all of them?
Does it mean that I have lost you completely?

What does it mean to be alone?
Does it mean that you will not be here with me?
Does it mean that you will not be here to kiss me?
Does it mean that you will not be here to hold me?

What does it mean, this life without you?
Does it mean that  I will never be happy?
Does it mean that my heart will be lonely?
Does it mean that love will never knock on my door again?

What does it mean?
Should I care?
Should I stop crying instead of dehydrating myself?
Should I realize that this is the very end?

I think it means that you are no good
That you were never true
That I should have seen through your lies
By staring straight at your pretty eyes...
But now all that is done...
I think it means to say goodbye....
