Numb

Numb

A Poem by Myasia Lene'
"

It's about feeling numb

"

Numb

I don’t know how I should feel

How to live or how to deal

I can’t feel anything

So here I sit

Waiting for the feelings to hit

But they never come

Why no tears?

Why no pain?

Am I really to far gone

Insane?

Is there something wrong with my brain

Or is there something else to blame

Why do I feel like this

So

Numb

A very nice poem Myasia and I feel many are feeling this way during these current times. Indifference is one of the worst feelings one can feel because it reflects a tired soul that just doesn't care or feel anything anymore. A numbness to all suffering of others. It's pervasive now because many don't care for the lives of others let alone themselves and make it known loudly in today's society. Constant hate has a way of just numbing the empathy of others to the point they just don't care anymore. One must rise above the hateful rhetoric and not allow it to infect their heart. Because once you lose that ability to care you have lost your humanity.

Such an emotional read, I don't have an answer for the numbness.
You express yourself well
