Writer's Block

Writer's Block

A Poem by Theresa Lennon
"

It's about love and unobtainable love. Or more precisely, love that you're afraid to voice in fear of rejection.

"
I prefer songs to real love
I can write better than do.
I find I choke on nothing
When Im around you.

I sing you in the morning
Fall asleep to you at night.
Youre in my every moment
Youre everything thats right.

But for the first time
I cant find the words.
Is there no way
For me to be heard?
I want to voice it
But I cant make it come.
To you its just silence
To me youre the only one.

And when I see you
I get a writers block.
So much I want to say
But I just cant talk.

I can write about you
When your miles away.
But I cant be creative
When I look at your face.

For the first time
I cant find the words.
Is there no way
For me to be heard?
I want to voice it
But I cant make it come.
To you its just silence
To me youre the only one.

Ive felt this way
For what seems to be years
I laughed with your joy
And cried with your tears.

Ive seen you love her
I felt all the pain.
But you were the one
Who took me in from the rain.

For the first time
I cant find the words.
Is there no way
For me to be heard?
I want to voice it
But I cant make it come.
To you its just silence
To me youre the only one.

I sing you in the morning
Fall asleep to you at night.
Youre in my every moment
Youre everything thats right.

About
I'm Seventeen and I've been writing for the greater portion of my life. It's my first passion. As far back as I can remember I would just swing in my backyard and make up songs in my head. more..
