Writer's BlockA Poem by Theresa LennonIt's about love and unobtainable love. Or more precisely, love that you're afraid to voice in fear of rejection.
I prefer songs to real love
I can write better than do. I find I choke on nothing When Im around you. I sing you in the morning Fall asleep to you at night. Youre in my every moment Youre everything thats right. But for the first time I cant find the words. Is there no way For me to be heard? I want to voice it But I cant make it come. To you its just silence To me youre the only one. And when I see you I get a writers block. So much I want to say But I just cant talk. I can write about you When your miles away. But I cant be creative When I look at your face. For the first time I cant find the words. Is there no way For me to be heard? I want to voice it But I cant make it come. To you its just silence To me youre the only one. Ive felt this way For what seems to be years I laughed with your joy And cried with your tears. Ive seen you love her I felt all the pain. But you were the one Who took me in from the rain. For the first time I cant find the words. Is there no way For me to be heard? I want to voice it But I cant make it come. To you its just silence To me youre the only one. I sing you in the morning Fall asleep to you at night. Youre in my every moment Youre everything thats right. © 2008 Theresa Lennon |
