One Final Kiss

One Final Kiss

A Poem by Aru Bansal

A love that fades as morning mists,

subsides within

one final kiss .

The pain within a last goodbye,

a heart in deepest

sadness cries.

All alone now left to stand,

no warm embrace

or loving hand .

With arms out stretched they catch the breeze,

so broken hearted

on your knees .

Could there be one to hold tear ,

or cause your pain

to disappear ?

Could someone take this heart that’s breaking,

to bring back joy

that has been taken ?

Or is this thing you ask too much,

to hope for one

more tender touch ?
