Was Destined

Was Destined

A Poem by Aru Bansal

It seemed you were so free and wild,

in far off pastures

ran this child.

You sought to find where you belonged,

your frantic searches

turned out wrong.

Had searched for love yet found dismay,

no trophies on

the shelf displayed.

No matches on your gun belt carved,

those mountain peaked

with no reward.

Throughout your life found cold rejection,

your heart it longed

for fond affection.

Searching here and there,

yet found no love

your heart to share.

Your hopes and joys had gone it seemed,

with no fulfilment

of your dreams.

Then at last when unexpected,

with joy your heart

it was affected.

Then love you’d longed for had arrived,

with sweet romancing

came alive.

When all your hopes seemed dead and gone,

true love at last

for you did dawn.

Just as morning brings the sun,

was destined love

for you should come.

You are welcome.
You did a fantastic job of summing up the search for love. Wether people want to admit it or not, they are always serching for love until they find what feels right.

You have a really sweet way with words!
