LostA Poem by None
He caressed her face, Tears like falling diamonds Shattering on the ground. He tucked her hair behind her ear, Smiling at the closed eyes, Precious sleep she longed for. He buried his head in her neck, Covering the necklace of bruised skin, Held her close, and danced. That small, sweet voice, Musicians hands and angels eyes, Cold to touch, but she shivers not. He held her in his lap, Forever lost in love, Wishing for her to dance. Wishing for those hands to play, That voice to sing, Those hips to sway. Wishing for the light to shine, Those eyes to sparkle, One last time. © 2008 None |
