As You Leave

As You Leave

A Poem by None

I see you leave,

As you walk out that door

My mind goes numb,

I can’t feel anymore

I can see your face,

No words come to mind.

I can see your calm look,

But your words are unkind.

You turn on your heel,

Look back just once more.

A sigh on your lips,

Shakes me down to the core.

As I watch, as I imagine

As I dream words, I see

What I thought mattered to you,

Only mattered to me.
